On January 31 as part of the annual Food & Farming Network Summit, we’ll be showing the movie FRESH.
FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Each has witnessed the rapid transformation of our agriculture into an industrial model, and confronted the consequences: food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and morbid obesity. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our planet. The film will be free of charge to the public (donations appreciated).
The film starts at 6:30 PM at Inside-Out Gallery in Traverse City’s warehouse district. But please feel free to come early.
The day starts at 3:00 PM with our annual Food & Farming Network Summit. The summit is where we get to hear rapid-fire reports from around the region and state about what’s happened over the past year in agriculture.
We’ll break at 5:30 PM for dinner. The great crew at Roaming Harvest (food truck) will be parked outside providing local food. After dinner we’ll start the movie.
